Kuilman Mundell & Arlow was founded by Peter Kuilman in 1988 and has since grown into a trusted name in legal services. In 1991, Peter was joined by his university colleague, Patrick Mundell, and the firm became Kuilman Mundell. After Peter’s departure in 1997 to pursue commercial interests overseas, he continued to consult for the firm.

Patrick was admitted as an attorney in 1983 and brought valuable experience in town planning and local government matters from his time with the City of Johannesburg. He practised as a sole practitioner until 2005, when Bernadette Arlow, who had worked her way up through the firm, became a partner. The firm then became Kuilman Mundell & Arlow. Bernadette, who emigrated in 2021, remains a consultant to the firm.

Today, the conveyancing department is led by Kevin Baard and Tanya Deale. Tanya has been with the firm for over 20 years. Since Tanya started with us, she has grown significantly with the firm and currently oversees the day-to-day activities of the conveyancing department. Kevin is the firm’s senior associate since 2021 and brings with him attention to detail for all our clients as well as his unique way of thinking to resolve our clients’ legal needs.
